Ceramic Futures is the first social project entirely dedicated to Ceramics involving the students of four outstanding design schools (IED Rome, AccademiaAbadir, Catania, Glasgow School of Art - UK, Politecnico, Milan).

Students were challenged to take an architectural approach to the future of ceramics, a constant throughout the history of mankind since the dawn of time.  After a short set-up phase led by ElioCaccavale and Stefano Mirti, the four groups of young designers worked throughout June and July 2013 implementing an interactive, collaborative method, using the means of communication typical of the social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

The entire project ends in the “Galleria dell’Architettura” (Architecture Gallery) at Cersaie (Gall. 21-22), where the results of the interactions on the subject of ceramics will be displayed and narrated through the exhibition of the prototypes designed and built by the various groups of students, and an event where the design ideas will be presented and prizes will be awarded to the best, most interesting works, to be held on 24 September in the “Galleria dell’Architettura” (Gall.21/22).
