Curvy, sinuous lines and neutral shades of greige and pastel colors: these are the unifying design features of the interiors of Pretty Woman Nails and Beauty, a beauty centre at Altamura, in the Puglia region, where clients are welcomed in a sophisticated yet simple ambience. The project, by the firm headed by architect Alessandro Fontana, involved the complete restyling of the existing premises.

The beauty centre is a large professional establishment with a reception area for taking clients’ bookings and for welcoming guests, cabins for massages and beauty treatments and a small sauna.

The architectural reference is to the aesthetic of the Art Deco style, with overtones of a hyper-contemporary taste. In the reception area, the suspended ceiling evokes the idea of a make-up palette, with colored disks of mdf board in warm shades alternating with illuminated circles. The project alternates untreated wooden boards and glass, shades of greige and black on the details of handles and walls, and milky white and pink panels and furnishings, with shade variation creating a fabric-like effect.

The marble-effect porcelain stoneware slabs of the Incanto collection Grafite variant were used to cover the floors and also for the wall claddings around the washbasins. The aim is to add prestige and elegance to the design of a location dedicated to wellbeing; the neutral Grafite color provides a sharp contrast with the untreated wood features used for the rounded doors of the cabins and the concealed cupboards in some areas.

The Incanto collection’s 75x150 cm porcelain stoneware slabs are particularly suitable for a commercial location like a beauty centre, because they provide outstanding resistance to deep abrasion, excellent hygiene properties and extremely easy cleaning and maintenance.

Moreover, the entire Incanto collection holds the important Greenguard certification, guaranteeing that the product complies with some of the toughest, most exhaustive international standards covering low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in indoor environments.
