The beauty and warmth of the industrial style in a wine bar in the heart of Bari

A welcoming space where present and past happily merge
Wood, black metal and surfaces delicately marked by the passage of time style the interiors of the new Osteria Dalì in Bari, designed by Michele Carbonara. Here, in a place devoted to wine and good food, materials and colours collaborate in structuring the interiors and generating a pleasant, welcoming mood.
The modernity of some interior design choices, such as the formal simplicity of the lines, surfaces and forms, is balanced and softened by features that unequivocally evoke the past and which link the location to an industrial past, brought up to date to suit today’s functional and aesthetic demands.
Patina, a fascinating, enticing mix of material impressions
The Osteria’s doors open onto a large area with a flooring in the 75x75 cm slabs of the Patina collection in the Cognac variant which, in the Ragno catalogue, illustrate the outcome of the company’s meticulous research into the meaning of “origins” and a mix of different material impressions: metal, resin and terracotta.
The waxed patina effect gives the slabs a uniform, softly glossy surface and enhances their exquisite tactile character, just as precious and communicative as their appearance. At the same time, the rectified edges enable the creation of a continuous surface, perfect for a ceramic material that strikes a skilful balance between past and present.
Decor that evokes the impressions of the past: the A_Mano collection
The Michele Carbonara architecture firm, which styled the Osteria Dalì, decided to give the toilets, a continuation of the project’s interior design, a strong, highly decorative character. The pattern, in an elegant graphic black&white, was created with the A_Mano collection: just one 20x20 cm size but infinite creative potentials.
The Ardesia variant alternates the continuity of colour of the background with a decor that mixes different patterns, in an overall look that evokes moods of the past and a legacy restored from the very first glance.
