The importance of a healthy and inclusive lifestyle in the company

The health and wellbeing of our people lie at the core of our commitment to social sustainability. Promoting a healthy work environment means ensuring conditions that protect both physical and psychological well-being, while valuing the dignity, differences and uniqueness of each individual.

Alongside prevention and care programmes dedicated to employees and their families, our growth journey structurally integrates the values of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), guiding daily practices, communication and people management policies.

We believe that a mindful, inclusive and respectful work environment fosters a sense of belonging, enhances relationships among colleagues and contributes to a sustainable balance between personal and professional life.

Work life balance

Health and wellbeing are the result of a good work-life balance, and for this reason, in addition to the prevention and treatment initiatives, our supplementary labour contracts include a series of initiatives to aid work-life balance:

  • Ability to convert full-time positions to part-time work in order to help reconcile the management of work and life timeframes, and for employees who have to care for family members with particular conditions
  • Donation of rest and vacation time between employees, through the Banca Ore Solidale (solidarity hours-bank), to those who have to care for children requiring constant care
  • Experimentation with Smart Working for roles which can be carried out remotely in order to favour growth of a company culture based on flexibility, independence, commitment and sense of responsibility, with the goal of improving personal wellbeing, the corporate atmosphere and enhancing and exploiting skills and expertise.

Gender Equality Certification

Gender Equality Certification (UNI/PdR 125) is part of this journey, representing a firm commitment to consolidating real and measurable equal opportunities within Marazzi Group.
The certification enhances and reinforces policies already in place within the company that promote work-life balance‑, encourage greater hourly and organisational flexibility to better accommodate personal and family needs, provide dedicated parenthood services, and overall improve the quality of working life, fostering inclusive environments attentive to people’s needs.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: a daily commitment

The promotion of a corporate culture founded on diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) is a fundamental pillar of our working philosophy. For this reason, we have developed tools and guidelines that promote more conscious relationships, equitable processes, and a workplace environment that respects differences.

Among the initiatives implemented are the Guidelines for Gender-Respectful Language, the DE&I Policy, the Parenting Guide, and the Guidelines for Inclusive Recruitment, which direct communication, selection practices, and support for individuals throughout their professional journey. These tools constitute an invitation to the entire organisation to contribute to creating an environment in which everyone can express their value within a climate of respect, trust, and collaboration.

Employee Wellbeing Plans

Our employees have access to a corporate welfare programme which offers exclusive discounts from over 1,500 commercial brands via a single digital platform. The benefits cover numerous areas — health and sports, home, technology, travel, fashion, and leisure — promoting wellbeing and work-life balance.

Among the various employee welfare initiatives are contributions towards nursery and pre- and after-school fees for those with children, personal consultations with an osteopath and a nutritionist, and a psychological support service extended to employees’ families. In collaboration with LILT – Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer, oncological prevention programmes have been active: since 2017, the “Stop Smoking” programme, dedicated to those wishing to overcome tobacco dependence, and in 2025, a series of breast cancer and urological prevention initiatives featuring specialist visits held directly on site, with particular focus on the production plants.

Thanks to the spontaneous initiative of some employees, “Mondo Insieme” was established in 2016 to encourage contact among workers by seeking to consolidate or develop friendships through shared moments of socialising centred on sport, culture and travel. Because wellbeing also means quality leisure time.
