A key part of environmental sustainability is correct use of resources. By optimising consumption and recirculating the energy produced by our plants, we reduce our environmental impact.
Thanks to the use of low-emission inks, we are able to ensure the air is kept healthy during production without increasing CO2 emissions. Our process emissions pass through flues equipped with filters which capture pollutants before they are released into the atmosphere.

Il programma di certificazione NSF Food Equipment ha 22 diversi standard che stabiliscono i requisiti minimi di protezione e igiene alimentare riguardo ai materiali, la progettazione, la fabbricazione, la costruzione e le prestazioni delle attrezzature per la manipolazione e il trattamento degli alimenti. I materiali per superfici solide vengono esaminati in base alla “NSF / ANSI 51: Materiali per attrezzature alimentari”, che specifica i requisiti relativi alla salute pubblica per i materiali utilizzati nella costruzione di attrezzature alimentari commerciali.

La certificazione francese QB UPEC offre all’utente una garanzia: assicura che i prodotti consegnati, recanti i loghi QB e UPEC, siano conformi a quanto previsto dalla norma NF EN 14411 secondo le presenti regole di certificazione
e che tali prodotti possiedano le caratteristiche d’uso definite nel disciplinare CSTB «Specifiche tecniche per la classificazione UPEC dei rivestimenti ceramici per pavimenti». Le quattro lettere indicano rispettivamente:
U: resistenza all’usura da calpestio
P: resistenza meccanica agli spostamenti di oggetti mobili e fissi
E: comportamento in presenza di acqua
C: resistenza agli agenti chimici correnti

Declare è un programma volontario di autodichiarazione che ha l’obiettivo di portare l’industria dei materiali da costruzione verso prodotti più sani e più ecologici, grazie alla comunicazione trasparente degli ingredienti.
I prodotti autodichiarati di Marazzi Group sono classificati “Red List Free”, ovvero non contengono ingredienti presenti nella “Red List” del Living Building Challenge:
• nessuna sostanza chimica che inquini l’ambiente
• nessuna sostanza chimica bioaccumulabile lungo la catena alimentare che possa raggiungere concentrazioni tossiche
• nessuna sostanza chimica dannosa per i lavoratori nella produzione e nell’edilizia

Marazzi Group realizza i propri prodotti utilizzando materie prime di origine naturale, come argille, feldspati, sabbie e pigmenti inorganici. Per garantire la trasparenza delle informazioni, l’Azienda pubblica l’HPD (Health Product Declaration), un’autodichiarazione sulla composizione chimica del prodotto, che permette all’utilizzatore di verificare il grado e la tipologia di pericolosità associata ai singoli componenti dei prodotti da costruzione. L’HPD viene riconosciuta all’interno dei crediti LEED.

Emanati nel 2017 dal Ministero dell’Ambiente, i “Criteri Ambientali Minimi per gli arredi per interni, per l’edilizia e per i prodotti tessili” sono una normativa che definisce le regole per gestire gli appalti di ristrutturazione e nuove costruzioni della Pubblica Amministrazione in Italia, con l’obiettivo di incentivare la progettazione e la realizzazione di edifici a ridotto impatto ambientale.
La dichiarazione di conformità ai CAM Marazzi Group è disponibile all’interno dell’EPD degli stabilimenti italiani.

La Certificazione CCC, introdotta nel 2002, interessa sia i prodotti di importazione che quelli di produzione Cinese destinati a quel mercato. Le informazioni sulla Certificazione CCC riguardano in generale la sicurezza e la salute, con particolare riferimento, nel caso delle piastrelle di ceramica, alle sole piastrelle in Gres Porcellanato, con un assorbimento minore o uguale allo 0,5%. La Certificazione si ottiene attraverso l’intervento di istituti appositamente accreditati dalle Autorità cinesi, tutti con sede in Cina.
